Danntech's new DIN Rail Mounting pH Transmitter is a low cost alternative for applications where local display is not required. Any pH electrode can be used with a variety of temperature compensation inputs. Based upon 24 bit analogue to digital conversion, this transmitter provides excellent accuracy and galvanic isolation in a compact package. The transmitter is configured using a PC and a configuration program to do the zero and span calibration as well as setting up the operation of the relay outputs and LEDs. The analogue output can be scaled to any range with filtering and inversion options.
The two relay outputs can be configured as alarms with selectable operating sense and hysteresis or as control outputs.
A simple ASCII protocol is used to connect using RS485 so that multiple units can be connected to a controlling system.
It is possible to use the transmitter in a passive mode, where it operates like a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) with a 24 bit pH input, a 24 bit temperature input, a 12 bit analogue output, two relay outputs and two LED outputs each individually accessible and controllable.
The unit is 24 VDC powered and three way isolation up to 1000 VDC ensures trouble-free operation in process control environments where ground loops and noise may be prevalent. Economical, DIN rail mounting, pH or ORP (Redox) transmitter for process control applications where local display of the pH is not required. Basic 24 bit measurement accuracy with temperature compensation. pH and Redox calibration using front panel controls with detailed configuration using PC and configuration software.
