This system was developed to demonstrate the feasibility of using a density measuring instrument and a peristaltic pump to control the concentration of HCl in an automated dilution application.
The primary aim was to look at storing the concentrated HCl and diluting it to the desired concentration on demand in a relatively smaller mixing container.
This would allow for much smaller storage containers and that the concentration of HCl could be altered quickly as the process required.
