      Description

The ESP32 Industrial Interface Unit is an industrial-grade product originally designed and manufactured for monitoring, alarming and reporting with various input and output. The hardware comprises of one main PIC processor for I/O management, a secondary PIC processor for power and battery management, with a central ESP32 microprocessor with Bluetooth and WiFi capability.

      Specifications
      • Power Supply Voltages:
        • Mains - 90 to 260 VAC 40-60 Hz
        • DC - 9 to 36 VDC
        • Includes input fuse DC, polarity protection, surge/spike protection and filtering.
      • I/O Management (Main) PIC processor does all the analogue, digital and relay interface with isolated I2C communications to the ESP32. It will appear to the ESP32 as a peripheral with the I/O available via registers. The PIC can optionally reset the power to the ESP32.
      • Two analogue inputs - 0-100 mV, 0-5 V, 0-1 V, 0-10 V, 0-100 V, ±100 mV, ±10 V, 0-22 mA, 4-20 mA, 0-1 ADC, 0-10 ADC, loop powered 4-20 mA. With DIP switch to assist in the configuration for each.
      • A temperature input (RTD/pT100) with 0.5 to 2 mA excitation current.
      • Precision AC and DC ±50 A current measurement.
      • Isolated RS485/RS422 interface directly connected to ESP32.
      • Isolated RS232 interface directly connected to ESP32.
      • USB interface to dual UART interface as per ESP32 devleopment kit circuit.
      • Power input goes through a current measurement.
      • Low supply voltage detection, to enable graceful power down.
      • Two digital inputs 5 to 30 VDC.
      • Two switch inputs.
      • Two relay outputs 250 VAC at 3 A max.
      • On-board temperature sensor.
      • Battery backed up real time clock.
      • 4 LEDs for diagnostics and status.
      • Buzzer.

The ESP32 industrial interface unit is not limited to the features above, other sensors/transmitter inputs such as: vibration, Loadcell, pH, ORP, thermocouple, conductivity and more, can be fitted for applications such as:

      • Motor control and monitoring
      • Production/factory machine management
      • Industrial valve monitoring
      • Freezer monitoring
